Greece Media and iamgreece Hosted Boston Greek Networking Event

BOSTON – The ‘Greece Media & iamgreece Present: Boston Greek Networking’ event took place at La Padrona Boston on March 20. The event was hosted by The Greece Foundation of Greece Media, a platform committed to promoting a deep love and respect for Greece and its history, which was founded by Greece content creator and community builder, Tony Kariotis of iamgreece, who also founded The Teddy K. Classic and Hoopla Greeks. The event was co-hosted by Christine Scolinos, founder of The Greekend and Dena (Skeadas) Panagopoulos, founder of Dena Public Relations.

Over 50 Greek-American professionals attended and enjoyed an evening of cultural appreciation and meaningful conversation that brought the spirit of Greece to the heart of Boston. Representatives from numerous young professionals, parish youth groups and other Hellenic organizations were in attendance, such as Hellenic Boston Businesses Unite, Alpha Omega Council, The Order of AHEPA, Pan-Icarian Brotherhood of America, and the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of New England.

Guests enjoyed cocktails by beverage sponsor KLEOS Mastiha Spirit, which featured its hero cocktail, the KLEO-Patra. KLEOS is a better-for-you, low cal, low sugar, low-ABV botanical spirit made from an ancient Greek superfood called mastiha, a protected designation of origin (PDO) ingredient derived from a resin of the Skinos tree, which only grows in 24 villages in the southern part of the Greek island of Chios and offers a myriad of healing properties.

Event beverage sponsor Effie Panagopoulos, founder/CEO of KLEOS Mastiha Spirit added: “Being first generation Greek-American, I feel this is a very special thing. We were part of essentially the last massive wave of Greek immigrants in the 70s. What Tony is trying to do is build community for the younger generation and KLEOS as a brand is the face of modern and ancient Greece melded into one. We are aligned philosophically and also are both Boston born and raised! Plus, there’s also a personal connection — many don’t know I taught high school Spanish at his high school in Dedham.”
