A luxury Greek liqueur made from an ancient superfood called Mastiha! Mastiha is a sap from a tree indigenous to the island of Chios. It is a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) ingredient–the skinos trees that excrete mastiha ONLY grow in 24 villages in the southern part of the island of Chios.
It is know for its myriad healing properties but most notably kills h.pylori, the bacteria that causes peptic ulcers and acid reflux, making KLEOS the ultimate aperitif or digestif.
Aromas of eucalyptus or sage, and tasting notes of cucumber, mint, lemon, sweet tea, it generally has a freshening effect in cocktails. It has been called “bartender’s olive oil” in the press because it mixes 1:1 with EVERY base spirit on the backbar. Can also be consumed on the rocks, or with soda, so a “healthier” alternative to a vodka/soda.
It is low cal, low sugar, and low abv. (110 cals, 4 g in 2 oz)
Like drinking a spa:)
